Yale offers need-blind admissions and need-based financial aid to all applicants, international and domestic。
Yale admits undergraduate students without regard to their ability to pay, and provides need-based financial aid awards to all admitted students on the basis of individual needs assessments。
Financial aid awards for international students are created using a needs analysis that takes into account the relative differences between the US economy and the economy of students’ home countries。

In order to receive a provisional financial aid decision with your admissions decision, you must submit all of the listed application materials according to the following deadlines:
QuestBridge: November 1, 2016
Early Action: November 11, 2016
Regular Decision: March 15, 2017
If you miss the deadline, your provisional award information may arrive after your admissions decision。
However, you are still eligible to apply for financial aid, and your award will not be reduced because of late submission。

Fellowships
Financial assistance is provided in the form of Yale University Fellowships, tuition fellowships, teaching fellowships, traineeships, and research assistantships。
The nature of the assistance varies among the divisions and departments。 Applicants for admission to Ph。D。 programs will automatically be considered for all Yale fellowships, traineeships, research assistantships, and teaching fellowships for which they are eligible。
These awards of financial aid are announced in letters of admission, which are usually mailed during the month of March。
Applicants for admission to non-degree and terminal master’s programs are required to complete the financial statement contained in the application of admissions。
Students are strongly encouraged to seek financial support from external sources。

University Fellowships
University Fellowships are awarded at admission to entering students on the basis of merit and recommendations made by individual departments。
Students awarded a University Fellowship may not accept any other award without the permission of the appropriate Associate Dean and/or the program department。

It may never be held concurrently with a teaching fellowship of any kind。 Students who accept a teaching position in the fall, spring, or summer of the year of final eligibility will forfeit that term’s dissertation fellowship amount。
Students receiving external funding for dissertation research or writing may be eligible for a combined award and should consult the External Fellowships and Combined Award policy(link is external)。
